This project began with a simple problem: installing a Ring Doorbell without drilling into the existing brick. To solve this, I designed a custom mounting bracket that utilized the existing doorbell anchors for installation.

One of the coolest things about this project is that it originally started as a 3D-printable file intended for public use. However, I felt the finished design deserved to be displayed and presented as a complete project rather than simply existing as a downloadable model.

Material selection was also an important consideration. The design specifies PET-G because the bracket needs to withstand outdoor conditions such as rain, snow, heat, and prolonged exposure to the elements. ABS or ASA can also be used as suitable alternatives. My own bracket has already endured a Houston summer without any issues, providing a great real-world test of the design and material choice.
